President Kagame concludes working visit to Angola

Luanda: President Kagame on Thursday concluded his two-day working visit to Angola.

Speaking at a press conference alongside President João Lourenço, President Kagame said the two countries had a lot in common and shared the same vision of transformation.

“There are many things that bind our two countries, through history, culture and ideologically. What we believe in is developing our people and doing everything we can for the transformation of our people. We believe it can be achieved through cooperation, investment with and in each other” President Kagame says.

President Kagame further reiterated that the two countries had explored all areas of cooperation that are beneficial to both sides.

“We have looked at areas where we can cooperate and learn from each other, across sectors. There are no limitation to what we can do together or how much we can benefit from each other” President Kagame added.

On the first day of the visit, the two heads of state held a tête-à-tête meeting followed by a luncheon hosted in honour of President Kagame.

The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries and existing areas of partnerships including air transport, security and justice, migration, ICT and governance.

Rwanda and Angola enjoy excellent bilateral relations. Rwanda is represented to Angola by its Embassy in Luanda, while Angola’s Embassy in Kigali was established since February 2019. (Fin)
