President Kagame presides over swearing-in of newly appointed officials

Kigali: President Kagame today presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed judges, a Member of Parliament and the RDF Army Chief of Staff. The Judges included Alphonse Hitiyaremye, François Regis Rukundakuvuga appointed to the High Court and Vénantie Tugireyezu to the Court of Appeal.

President Kagame asked the judges to live by the oath they have taken. “The law should treat all people equally and justice should be delivered equitably and as fast as possible. We ask every Rwandan, especially those who are leaders, to fulfill their responsibility with hard work and dedication. We all know where we have come from and where we want to go. Our goal is to put in the time needed to do our work well and move even faster.”

President Kagame called on all Rwandans to work even harder in all their responsibilities and wished everyone success and pledged his commitment to always provide his support whenever it is needed. (Fin)
