President Kagame received Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs

Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Park Jin, Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs. Their discussions focused on ways to enhance Korea-Rwanda bilateral relations.

The Republic of Korea cooperates with Rwanda in areas of Education and Capacity building, Rural Development, Health, Energy, Agriculture and Information and Communications Technology among others. Both countries will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations in March 2023.

Korea and Rwanda initiated their bilateral relations in 1963. Yet it was not until around 2010 that the two countries embarked upon a more thriving and substantial cooperation with the establishment of their embassies in the respective capitals. (End)
