President Kagame today met with a renowned Nigerian singer Davido

Today at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame met with David Adedeji Adeleke, known as Davido, a renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter, who is in Rwanda to perform at the Giants of Africa Festival Closing Concert tomorrow, 19 August 2023.

Giants of Africa is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of African youth through sports. In celebration of Giants of Africa’s 20th anniversary, more than 250 youth from 16 countries meet in Kigali. With key themes including basketball, education, culture, and entertainment, the festival strives to unite and celebrate the next generation of leaders across Africa. Artists and musicians most performers demonstrated their talents in concerts, and Davido in Rwanda in this framework.

Toronto Raptors President and Giants of Africa co-founder Masai Ujiri said their performances further ignite the spirit of the festival and uplift the aspirations of the local youth in attendance. Youth present in Rwanda come from Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Somalia, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, South Sudan, Morocco, Cameroon and Mali.
