President Kagame visited the SDGs Pavillion in Qatar

The Rwandan President Paul Kagame joined the High Level Opening of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Pavilion in Qatar, the host of FIFA World Cup 2022.

The State house revealed that President Kagame  also attended the launch of the “Scoring the Goals” Campaign hosted by Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, co-founder and Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.   

“Educating a human being, right from childhood, will enable us to understand the environment we live in. Whether it is to do with climate or other aspects of our environment”, said President Kagame.

“We want every Rwandan child, as we would wish for the rest of the world, to have an opportunity to have an education”, he added. 

“We have been thinking about sustainability in every investment we make in our country, in our people, and starting with education”, President Kagame emphasized. 

The SDGs Pavilion to bring to limelight the United Nations (UN) SDGs is being visited by attendees of the FIFA World Cup 2022 from 20th November.

President Kagame arrived in Qatar on Sunday where he attended the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022. (End).
