Rwanda and Guinea Bisau sign Bilateral Air Services Agreement improving aviation industry

The Republic of Rwanda signed a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with the Republic of Guinea Bisau which will cater for the opening of both air transportations to ease the cooperation of the aviation industry between the two countries.

Signing on behalf of Rwanda Dr Ernest NSABIMANA, the Minister of Infrastructure, highlighted that the signing comes following the courtesy visit of Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda in Guinea Bisau, meant to strengthen the mutual relations and reiterated that Rwanda will benefit from this agreement as the citizens will be allowed to move directly and vice versa.

“The signing acts as a symbol to strengthen the ties between Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Guinea Bisau as it will see both skies open to make it easy in the aviation development” noted the Rwandan Minister.

Dr. Arsitides Ocante Da Silva, the Minister of Transport and Communication, who signed on behalf of the Republic of Guinea Bisau noted that the signing is going to be the milestone in revitalizing the mutual relations for air services in view of ensuring the economic development of both parties.
