Rwanda and UAE signed a MoU in governance and better service delivery

Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente along with Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rwanda and the UAE. 

The signed MoU is another key instrument that reaffirms the shared pursuit of excellence in governance and better service delivery for the prosperity of Rwanda and the United Emirates Arab.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the World Government Summit taking place in Dubai from 13 to 15 February under the slogan “Shaping Future Governments”. Rwanda’s Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente is attending the Summit. 

Diplomatic relations between Rwanda and the United Arab Emirates were established in 1995.  In June 2018, Hazza Alqahtani presented his Letters of Credence as the first resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Kigali.

In February 2019, the President of Rwanda Paul Kagame led a ministerial delegation and attended the World Government Summit 2019 in Dubai. (End)
