Rwanda, Tanzania sign MoU for cooperation in the development of the dairy industry

On the sidelines of the 60th Anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution celebrations, the Rwandan Minister of State in charge of Regional Cooperation Gen (Rtd) James Kabarebe together with Abdallah Hamis Ulega, Tanzania’s Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, signed an MoU on cooperation in the development of the dairy industry between Rwanda and the United Republic of Tanzania.

A Rwandan delegation led by President Kagame participated yesterday in the 60th Anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution celebrations, joining Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania and other leaders from the region.

The Indian Ocean archipelago of Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous province of Tanzania. It consists of the island of Zanzibar or Unjuga, Pemba as well as smaller neighbouring islands.(End)
