Rwandan Peacekeepers in Central African Republic offer training to women associations

Rwandan peacekeepers (RWABATT10) in Bangui conducted training of members of Women’s Associations at 5ème Arrondissement, Bangui.

The training mainly focused on the role of hygiene and sanitation in preventing and fighting common diseases, importance of good nutrition, and ways of dealing with gender-based violence.

At the end of the training session, Rwandan Peacekeepers donated a variety of medicines for common illnesses. A total of 81 women and young girls from Women’s Associations attended this event.

Ms BENDE Marie, the first advisor to the Mayor of the 5ème Arrondissement thanked Rwandan peacekeepers for the helpful training sessions provided.  (End)
