This afternoon, Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, alongside other senior Ministry officials, held a meeting with a delegation headed by Dr. Alemu Sime, Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Rwanda and Ethiopia have strong relations and cooperation in several sectors. In 2012, both countries signed three agreements on General Cooperation and a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership and the establishment of a Joint Permanent/Ministerial Commission (JPC/JMC).
Thereafter, 20 agreements and MoUs were signed during the 1st and 2nd JMC/JPC held in Kigali, respectively in 2012 and 2017.
Through the Green Legacy Initiative, an Ethiopian delegation came to Rwanda and participated in the tree planting Umuganda in December 2022. (End)
