Former Ethiopian PM and AGRA Board Chair in Rwanda for discussions on Horticulture

Former Ethiopian Prime Minister (PM) and board chair of the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), Hailemariam Dessalegn, arrived in Rwanda for high-profile conversations on Horticulture sector  transformation. 

Hailemariam Dessalegn and his delegation met the CEO of NAEB (National Agricultural Export Development Board), Claude Bizimana. They discussed how NAEB intervenes in the development of the Horticulture sector and how AGRA can support in the sector development.

Dessalegn and his delegation arrived in Rwanda on a courtesy visit to evaluate the impact of AGRA’s investments in the country’s agricultural sector, and to develop further opportunities for co-operation.

Hailemariam is a member of the board of numerous international organizations such as AGRA, an African-based organization that seeks to catalyse Agriculture Transformation in Africa. 

AGRA is focused on putting smallholder farmers at the centre of the continent’s growing economy by transforming agriculture.

NAEB is a Rwandan public-commercial institution with the mission to facilitate the growth of businesses to diversify and grow agriculture and livestock commodity export revenues. (End)
