German MPs pay a courtesy call on Rwandan Minister of Finance

Minister of Finance & Economic Planning Uzziel Ndagijimana welcomed Jens Spahn, Vice Chairman of the (CDU/CSU) Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag, and his delegation for bilateral discussions.

Talks centered on boosting private sector investment and facilitating technology transfer, among other key topics.

Diplomatic relations between Rwanda and Germany were established in 1963. After the Genocide against Tutsi in 1994, Germany was among the first countries to resume development cooperation with Rwanda.

Currently, both countries maintain a permanent political dialogue through exchange of high-level visits by officials. (End)
