President Paul Kagame and the Commander-In-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) has promoted Lieutenant Colonel Bernard Niyomugabo to the rank of Colonel.
The statement released by the Ministry of Defence reads that President Kagame appointed Colonel Bernard Niyomugabo Defence Attaché to Qatar.
In 2016, Col Niyomugabo was the Commander of Rwanda Aviation Unit IV (RAU IV) peacekeepers serving under the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
He has been serving as the head of RDF J1 prior to his new appointment.(Fin).
