Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon with Vincent Biruta
At the invitation of Slovenia’s Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta is participating in the 12th Africa Day International Conference at Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Vincent Biruta joined other leaders on a panel discussing climate change and security.
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, in partnership with the European Commission and the Chatham House Institute, is organising the 12th International Conference Africa Day. Climate security will take centre stage as the main theme of this year’s event from 20 to 21 April 2023.
Under the theme “Africa and Europe: Climate Security for the Future – Global Challenges, Local Actions”, this year’s Conference will address different aspects of climate security, the way it is addressed internationally within the scope of the UN Security Council, the COP28 Climate Summit, the role of civil society, women and young people in dealing with climate change, building local resilience to climate change, and the global climate finance challenge.
