Minister Kabarebe receive Mali and Brazilian ambassadors to Rwanda

Minister of State in charge of Regional Cooperation Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe received Dianguina dit Yaya Doucoure, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali to the Republic of Rwanda. The discussion focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and regional matters.

Ambassador Dianguina dit Yaya Doucoure welcomed the excellent relations between Rwanda and Mali. They reiterated that cooperation agreements are under discussion to create a formal framework for collaboration in different areas. 

Minister of State Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe also held a bilateral meeting with Silvio José Albuquerque e Silva, Ambassador of Brazil to Rwanda, with residence in Nairobi, Kenya. Their discussion focused on exploring ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Rwanda and Brazil signed in 2019 a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), opening doors to larger market opportunities between the two Countries. Rwanda is supposed to benefit from this deal since Brazil has a good track record of aviation performance. 

Both Countries have already signed cooperation deals in agriculture and one Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the aviation sector which was penned in 2017, providing opportunities for exchange of expertise and training between both Countries. (End)
