The Minister of Education Gaspard Twagirayezu received Mr. Andrea Bagnoli, the WFP Rwanda Country Director, and Dr. Mutinta Nseluke Hambayi, the Deputy Country Director.
They discussed the WFP’s Country Strategic Plan for 2025-2029 and envisaged priorities with particular attention to education.
WFP is supporting the Government’s development of a National School Feeding Strategy and a Financing Strategy for the national school feeding programme.
WFP’s Home-grown school feeding program has been making a big difference in the lives of schoolchildren in Rwanda. This program provides nutritious meals to children, promoting their education, health, and sanitation. (End)
