Police commends public conduct during Tour du Rwanda 2024

Rwanda National Police (RNP) commends the responsiveness of the public during the just concluded 16th edition of Tour du Rwanda.

The RNP spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Boniface Rutikanga said that the week-long cycling competition ended incident-free.

“All the eight stages went smoothly in the usual atmosphere with no disturbances or obstruction from spectators and motorists,” ACP Rutikanga said.

He further appealed to all road users to continue observing road safety rules and regulations to curb accidents and other human behaviors that lead to loss of lives and destruction of property.

“We urge all road users to embrace Gerayo Amahoro to make road safety a choice and culture,” ACP Rutikanga said. (End)
