President Kagame received Vice President of Sudan

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Malik Agar, Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan and his delegation. 

They delivered a message from Abdel-Fattah Al Burhan Abdelrahman, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan. 

Rwanda and the Republic of Sudan have had good bilateral relations for many years. This relationship is benchmarked by diplomatic representation in both countries, since the opening of Rwanda’s diplomatic mission in the Sudan in 2006, and in a reciprocal culture of relations, the Republic of Sudan opened an embassy in Kigali in September 2011.

The bilateral relations between the two countries is backed by a number of memorandum of understanding already signed. (End)
