President Kagame met with Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP, UK Minister of State for Development, who is in Rwanda for the 19th Kwita Izina, where he named a baby gorilla Mukundwa.
During his four-day visit to the country, Andrew Mitchell launched the UK’s Digital Library Program in Rwanda, a partnership with UNICEF aimed at keeping more Rwandan girls in school.
The world has met Friday, 1 September 2023, in Kinigi, Musanze at the foothills of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park to name 23 baby mountain gorillas in a global celebration of conservation and community-led efforts to protect their habitat. (End)
