President Kagame participates in the 3rd Africa-Turkey Partnership Summit

President Kagame has arrived in Istanbul for the Third Africa-Turkey Partnership Summit held from 17th to 18th December 2021 under the theme of “Enhanced Partnership for Common Development and Prosperity”.

This evening, President Erdogan will welcome Heads of State present during a dinner hosted at the Dolmabahçe Palace.

Tomorrow, President Kagame will join President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Chairperson of the African Union, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo; Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat and other Heads of State for the Summit.

The Summit will begin with an opening ceremony, followed by a closed session including a Presidential Roundtable Discussion on Matters of Common Interest.

The Heads of State will also discuss investment opportunities during a lunch hosted in honour of Heads of State and Government by President Erdoğan.

The 3rd Africa-Turkey Partnership Summit follows the 2nd edition of the Summit which took place in November 2014 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The Summit is expected to adopt the “Turkey-Africa Partnership Joint Action Plan 2021-2026″, which contains concrete actions to be implemented jointly by Turkey, the African Union and its Member States. (End)
