President Kagame received AU Commissioner for Health, Africa CDC boss

This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Ambassador Minata Samaté Cessouma, the African Union(AU) Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, and Dr Jean Kaseya, the Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).

Ambassador Minata Samaté Cessouma and Dr Jean Kaseya were in Kigali for this morning’s inauguration of the new African Medicines Agency (AMA) headquarters.

President Kagame reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to the delivery of equitable access to quality medical products and technologies across the continent.

Selected as host nation at the 2022 AU Summit, Rwanda will facilitate AMA’s pivotal role in standardizing and regulating medicines across Africa. (End)
