The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Felix Namuhoranye received the Senior Vice President and Provost of Kent State University in USA, Dr. Melody Tankersley, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters, Kacyiru.
IGP Namuhoranye and Dr. Tankersley discussed matters related to the existing partnership agreement.
They appreciated the existing cooperation and emphasized the need to strengthen the relations in various capacity building academic programmes.
The RNP and Kent State University signed a memorandum of understanding in January this year, to develop academic and cultural interchange through mutual assistance in areas of education and research; development of programmes and academic exchange.
Currently, four RNP officers are pursuing various academic programmes at Kent State University; one on PhD and three others on Master’s programme. (End).
