Seychelles and Rwanda signed five MOUs and an agreement

An agreement was signed by Seychelles’ foreign affairs minister, Sylvestre Radegonde(Right), and Rwanda’s Minister of Trade, Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze

Seychelles and Rwanda signed five memoranda of understandings (MOUs) and an agreement on the first day of the state visit of Rwandan President Paul Kagame to the island nation located in the western Indian Ocean.

At the invitation of Seychelles’ President Wavel Ramkalwan, President Kagame is on a two days state visit in the country, and will be the guest of honour at the National Day celebrations on Thursday, June 29, marking Seychelles’ 47 years of Independence. 

The Rwandan President had a closed door meeting with his counterpart Wavel Ramkalawan held at State House, followed by the signing of the MOUs and an agreement by Seychelles’ foreign affairs minister, Sylvestre Radegonde, and Rwanda’s Minister of Trade Dr. Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze. 

This afternoon, President Kagame also addressed an Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly in Victoria, the capital. (End)
